The session concluded with a presentation on talent management in response to the numerous changes that transform the economy and society

More than 70 professionals of the packaging industry participated in the General Assembly of the Cluster of Packaging, which took place on June 18 at the headquarters of ACCIÓ.

Mr. Joan Romero, CEO of ACCIÓ, welcomed the attendees, stressing that "challenges such as circular economy, industry 4.0 and intelligent packaging, are key issues in the sector to remain competitive" . Then, the president of the entity, Mr. Artur Costa, addressed the partners, emphasizing that "the success of a cluster rests with the people who represent it" and expressed its willingness to renew the presidency of the entity during the present mandate.

Then, the new partners of the entity, presented themselves before the assembly. Thus, the 15 new partners since the last meeting (Brafim, Capsa, Industrial Bolsera, Inka Palet, NG Plastics, Rieusset, RSD Engineering, Side, Stimulo, TMI, Trading Films, Virospack, Yaskawa) were presented to make themselves known to the assistants.

The meeting also served to publicize the summary of activities and projects carried out recently, and the next planned actions, adding about 50 annual activities between sessions aimed at partners and others where the entity has actively participated, both at national and international, in order to connect and position the sector. Likewise, the Annual Report 2017, which summarizes the exercise, was distributed to all attendees.

Finally, the 2017 Annual Accounts were approved, audited this year by the Gestem audit and the 2018 Budget was approved, which grows significantly given the good progress of partners and projects obtained by the entity.

The day ended with a talk about talent, where Mr. Jordi Serrano, Founding Partner of Future for Work, stirred the audience by presenting the challenges posed by the new world, where he highlighted the importance of organizations in being agile to adapt to the changes.
